Bringing the male violence towards women into parliamentary agenda, HDP Diyarbakır MP Semra Güzel has asked Minister of Labor, Social Services and Family Selçuk, “What is the justification for the confidentiality orders imposed on case files of femicides?”

HDP İstanbul MP Oya Ersoy has submitted a parliamentary question regarding the ban which has been introduced by the Director of Akşemsettin Primary School in Sincan, Ankara and prevents teachers from wearing high-heeled shoes at school.

Chief Public Prosecutor's Office has requested approval for the life imprisonment given to Nevin Yıldırım, who killed her rapist. Yıldırım's attorney Bay ram has said, “There is not a verdict or notification has reached us yet. Nevin's case is not over for us.”

Men have killed at least 30 women, one baby and four men in December 2018 and killed at least 255 women and 17 children throughout 2018. In 2017, men killed at least 286 women and girl children.
