CHP Deputy Gök asked Justice Minister Ergin in a parliamentary question, "Are you aware of the violence experienced in the Ankara Sincan Prison?" The Contemporary Lawyers Association condemned the violent treatment of five women detainees in the Sincan prison.

Workers Face 27 Years in Jail
25 workers who protested against an unlawful tender at the Çukurova University Balcalı Hospital are facing imprisonment of 27 years each. They were violently taken into police custody on 22 August. Among the defendants are also union executives.

Blast Bomb in Diyarbakır, Noise Bomb in Istanbul
A bomb thrown to a shuttle of the Police Vocational School in Diyarbakır left four policemen injured. A noise bomb placed in a bus in Istanbul was brought to explosion by the bus driver at the side of the road. Nobody was wounded.
