Lawyer Kırdök: "This Trial is a Complot"
None of the 12 detained defendants of the MKLP trial were released at the hearing on 13 October. The trial with a total of 24 defendants has been pending for six years. The defence lawyers pointed to contradictions and called the case a "complot".

14-year-old Ö.S. was released pending trial after 14.5 months in detention. His indictment was prepared after 13 months. Ö.S. stood accused of "membership of a terrorist organization". At the third hearing he was sentenced to imprisonment of almost five years.

Two Trials for Singing Kurdish Folk Songs
Raziye Kızıl (Gazin), faces two trials because of Kurdish folk songs. The Kurdish lyrics in the police records were supposedly translated incorrectly. The court did not accept the related objection and sentenced her to one year in jail. The second trial carries a five-year prison threat.
