The Supreme Council of Judges and Prosecutors has announced that 3,940 judges and prosecutors for judicial and administrative procedures have been appointed by lot. 3,659 judges and prosecutors had been discharged earlier.

Malazgirt co-Mayors Halis Coşkun and Memnune Söylemez from Democratic Regions Party have also been arrested. The number of arrested mayors of municipalities governed by DBP has risen to 46.
