Nolle Prosequi For Torturers in Diyarbakır Prison
Diyarbakır Prosecutor’s Office issued a “nolle prosequi” ruling on the complaints of 1500 applicants related to torture allegations in Diyarbakır Prison No. 5 during Turkey’s 1980 military coup. Chairman of 78’ers Association in Diyarbakır said they would object the ruling.

70 Prisons House “Sponged Rooms” in Turkey
Turkey's Justice Minister admitted that there were sponged rooms in 70 prisons. These rooms are notorious in press for its torture videos. Sponged rooms are being watched for 24 hours and the rooms’ toilets are not surrounded.

The European Court of Human Rights has issued a verdict on the case of six villagers who who were taken under custody and then disappeared in Görümlü (Bespin) District of Silopi 21 years ago. Turkey was convicted of violating right of life and not being able to conduct active investigation.

Police Charged With 25 Years For Killing Abdullah Cömert
Prosecutors completed the indictment concerning the death of Abdullah Cömert, a Gezi Resistance protestor who got shot in the head with gas capsule in Hatay. Police officer Ahmet Kuş has been charged with up to 25 years of sentence for “premeditated murder”.
