Dead Body of Miner Recovered from Debris of Unlicensed Mine in Şırnak
Trapped under debris after an unlicensed mine collapsed in Şırnak, the dead body of miner Hasan İnal has been taken to the mortuary of Şırnak State Hospital for postmortem examination. Detained yesterday, İnal’s family has been released.

After 18-year-old worker Mehmet Aydın has lost his life by falling down an elevator shaft at İstanbul Airport, around 300 workers have halted work. "We will not start working until the necessary safety measures are taken", the workers have announced.

According to the report of Laborers’ Health and Occupational Safety (İSİG) Assembly, 163 occupational homicides took place in July. While six of the deceased were children, 10 of them were women and six of them were refugees.

According to a report released by the Laborers’ Health and Occupational Safety (İSİG) Assembly, at least 124 workers have died in occupational homicides in June. In the first six months of this year, 840 workers have lost their lives.
