Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Cahit Turhan has responded to the questions of MPs during the discussions on 2019 budgets of the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, Directorate General of Highways (KGM), Information Technologies and Communications Authority (BTK) and Directorate General of Civil Aviation (SHGM).
Minister Turhan has announced that as of September 30, 2018, the Computer Emergency Response Team of Turkey (trCERT) detected 52 thousand 171 cyber attacks directed against Turkey. Last year, this number was announced as 99 thousand 66 throughout 2017.
Administrative measure against Wikipedia
Responding to the questions regarding the ban on Wikipedia imposed by Turkey for more than 17 months, Turhan has stated that Turkey sent a mail of warning to Wikipedia due to the contents which show the country in cooperation with "terrorist organizations" as per the Article 8A of the Law no. 5651 and after the related content was not removed, an administrative measure has been imposed on the website.
Turhan has emphasized that the negotiations with the website have still been continuing for the removal of the related content.
İstanbul Airport
Minister of Transportation and Infrastructure Cahit Turhan has also responded to the questions regarding the İstanbul Airport, whose first stage was opened on October 29, 2018.

Sharing information regarding the occupational homicides that took place at the construction site of the airport, Minister Turhan has claimed that 30 workers have lost their lives since the construction of the airport began. According to the Platform of Solidarity with the 3rd Airport Workers, the number of deceased workers has been 38.
Regarding the arrested 3rd Airport workers, Turhan has stated that since it is a judicial matter, he has not authority or jurisdiction in that regard.
