19 Ordered to Pay 4,500 Euros for Pot&Pan Protest
Human Rights Foundation of Turkey (TIHV) released a statement, saying that 101 demonstrators were arrested during Gezi Resistance protests across Turkey with charges including “raiding a mosque”. Those who joined the protests by making noise with pots and pans were ordered to pay a total of 9,880 lira (roughly 4,500 euros).

Army Opens Fire at People in Egypt
Egyptian Army opened fire on pro-Morsi Muslim Brotherhood members who assembled on the steps of Republican Guard Headquarters in Egypt. While Egyptian sources announced the death toll as 16, Muslim Brotherhood claimed it to be 35.

“Doctors Battered, Equipment Destroyed”
Human Right Foundation of Turkey (TIHV) released a report, saying that 3,413 people were detained and 94 arrested during Gezi Resistance. The report cited the detailed experiences of those who were subjected to police or hit by gas bombs canisters.

Gendarmerie Weapons in Lice Sent to Prosecutors
Prosecutors ordered the seize of weapons used by gendarmerie officers who allegedly fired on civilians during a protest on Kayacık (aka Hezan) village, Lice in the southeastern province of Diyarbakır. Weapons will be put through examination.

Court’s Final Rule: Helmet Can’t Be Arrest Evidence
A vacation high criminal court accepted the objection made by advocates of 7 Gezi Park protestors whom another court issued arrest orders for having construction helmets and plasters. Reminding the criteria on the prevention of limitless ruling right and arbitrary decisions, the vacation high criminal court removed arrest warrants.
