75 civil society organizations from Turkey and the world have made an urgent call for Hasankeyf, which will be engulfed after the filling of Ilısu Dam reservoir starts in June: “It is not too late to save Hasankeyf and Tigris River! No filling of the Ilısu Dam Reservoir!”

Reversing the verdict of the court which only ruled for pecuniary damages in the lawsuit filed into the death of 12-year-old Ceylan Önkol, the Council of State has concluded that there is “a neglect of duty” and ruled for non-pecuniary damages as well.
