The recent attacks targeting journalists and writers in general and the most recent attack against Odatv columnist Sabahattin Önkibar in particular have been condemned by politicians and journalists’ organizations.

Four suspects previously taken into custody for having assaulted journalist Sabahattin Önkibar have been released on probation. While five journalists have been attacked in the last two weeks, the assaulters of Demirağ and Çelik were also released.
