President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in joint program by ATV and A Haber (A News) TV channels as to operation against Islamica State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) on Turkish border.
U.S. Minister of Foreign Affairs, John Kerry has expressed that they will launch an operation together with Turkey to ensure security of ISIS-held territory in Syria. President Erdoğan stated “forces to launch land operation are ready”.
Return of refugees
President Erdoğan said the following regarding the operation:
“DAİŞ (ISIS) is already a target, why so? Because DAİŞ has now become a threat risk for us both inside and outside our country. Thus, it is on the agenda that we will take a step together with coalition forces. Our forces are ready. That will be done, why? Because it is a threat risk. When that will be done is another subject.
“If we will prevent exit from Syria, and provide opportunity to the refugees in our land to return, then we have to build houses suitable for their local architecture in areas cleared of terror and place those people there”.
“Curfews will maintain”
Erdoğan stated the state will not stop its actions in “the terrorized areas in Turkey until it obtains results”.
