Nişantaşı University has annulled the contracts of six academics signing the declaration entitled “We will not be a party to this crime”.
There are head of Department of Management Information Systems Department and head of Department of Sociology among the academics whose contracts have been dissolved.
Names of the six academics are as follows: Prof. Dr. Melih Kırlıdoğ (Head of Deaprtment of Management Information Systems), Prof. Dr. Selim Eyüpoğlu (Department of Cinema Television), Assist. Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Kaya (Department of Social Services), Assist. Prof. Dr. Çetin Gürer (Department of Sociology), Assist. Prof. Dr. Nil Mutluer (Head of Department of Sociology), Assist. Prof. Dr. Dilşa Deniz (Department of Sociology).
The notice dated February 8 signed by Chairperson of the Board of Trustees, Levent Uysal states that the academics signed the declaration and the contract has been unilaterally cancelled on the basis of Article 7/a. What the article in question is about has not been specified.
