Investigation against Academics in İstanbul Desiring Peace

İstanbul Chief Public Prosecution Office Bureau of Terror and Organized Crime has launched a prosecution against academics in İstanbul signing the text that calls for state of Turkey to end violence and prepare negotiation conditions.

The prosecution launched due to the statement titled “We will not be a party to this crime” includes charges of “Overtly defaming Turkish nation, State of Turkish Republic, Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Government of Turkish Republic, and judicial bodies of the state”, and “making propaganda of terror organization”.

Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecution Office at the morning hours yesterday (January 14) started ex officio investigation within the scope of the same subject. (BK/TK)
