The official results of the independence referendum held on September 25 in Kurdistan Region and other territories that are not under its administration and have a disputed status have been announced.
Following data have been shared by the Kurdistan Region High Electoral Commission:
3,350,925 of 4,581,255 voters have gone to the polls.
The number of the valid votes is 3,085,935
The number of invalid votes is 21,180
The number of yes votes: 2,861,471 (92,73%)
The number of no votes: 224,464 (7,27%)
The participation to the independence referendum in Kurdistan Region and the territories that are not under its administration and have a disputed status was announced as 72% earlier. (HK/DG)
