After countless obstacles, Trabzon’s Chief Prosecutor’s Office submitted the indictment for the six gendarme officials who are accused of neglect in the murder of Hrant Dink.

Trabzon’s Chief Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation against Colonel Ali Öz and five gendarme officials for possible neglect in Hrant Dink’ murder. There are no police officers on trial for the same accusation.

The court denies Ünalır and Yılmaz’s objection and rules for their investigation. Thus, the number of the gendarmerie officers under investigation for neglect in Dİnk’s murder has become eight.

The court did not allow for the trial of the two gendarmerie officials in Dink’s murder to be transferred to the High Criminal Court. The two are charged with neglect in Dink’s murder.

The file of the two gendarmerie officers who have been on trial for neglect in the murder of Hrant Dink have been sent to the High Criminal Court. Lawyer Cinmen says Colonel Öz and others should be brought to the High Criminal Court.

Inspectors from Ministry of Justice demand permission to launch an investigation against Colonel Ali Öz and six other Gendarmerie officials. Dink’s lawyer insist that they should be allowed to see the report.

Mehmet Ocaktan, head of the subcommittee to investigate Hrant Dink’s murder, announced that contrary to the news in the media, subcommittee’s report about the case was not completed yet.

Dink’s lawyer Cinmen said that if the gendarmerie officials did not even know Hrant Dink before and this murder was not their concern, then anything can happen in Trabzon.
