Ergenekon case

Retired General Veli Küçük, number one suspect in the Ergenekon case, claims there were no unsolved murders at the place to which he was assigned while he was commissioned. He also claimed the discourse of JİTEM is an attack on the Armed Forces.

The 16 Ergenekon suspects, among them retired general Veli Küçük, Susurluk convict Sami Hoştan and lawyer Kemal Kerinçsiz, have been transferred to Silivri prison for the first hearing of the Ergenekon case.

Ministry of Justice decided not to permit the investigation of the prosecutors and judges of the Ergenekon case on the grounds that the evidence was not sufficient.

The General Staff has announced that it sent an official visitor to retired generals Şener Eruygur and Hurşit Tolon, imprisoned suspects for the Ergenekon case. There is no information about the reason and content of the visit.

Prosecutor Zekeriya Öz, who runs the Ergenekon case, has asked the military prosecutor about the content of Ergenekon Suspect Veli Küçük’s personal organizer. The prosecutor's reply was that it could jeopardize the lives of those whose names were mentioned in them.
