CHP Deputy Group Chairperson Gökhan Günaydın spoke about the protest against Lütfü Savaş, the Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor who was re-nominated by his party: "We must hear the voice of this uprising emerging from human suffering. We hear it. Of course, we will all reconsider and evaluate the issue considering this sensitivity."

Interior MinisterYerlikaya stated that today at 11:46, an attack was carried out at the checkpoint in front of the C Gate of the İstanbul Çağlayan Courthouse. He mentioned that one female and one male assailant were killed, and 3 police officers and 6 other individuals were injured. He also stated that the assailants were members of the DHKP/C organization. President Erdoğan announced that one person injured in the attack died in hospital.

He also underlines that we do not have data on how many citizens are missing and we do not know if the numbers regarding deaths are accurate.

The Republican People's Party nominated Hatay Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Lütfü Savaş as a candidate again in the March 31 local elections despite receiving criticism for some of his statements during the earthquake period. The people of Hatay protested against Savaş during the nighttime earthquake commemoration.
