The prosecutor’s office reportedly appealed against assailant Sütçü’s release from detention to house arrest. Due to the confidentiality order on the file, the scope of the appeal or the reason for the arrest is unknown.

By applying to the Board of Judges and Prosecutors, discharged teacher Karataş has filed a complaint against the judges of the State of Emergency Commission, who alleged that “his personnel file had information on his links with an organization.”

With a legislative proposal approved by the Parliament, the fines to be imposed for stockpiling have been increased and the management of privatized ports in Turkey may be extended to 49 years without tenders.
