Özgür Özel, who was elected as the CHP Chairperson at the party congress held last Sunday,, interpreted the decision by the Court of Cassation not to comply with the Constitutional Court's Can Atalay verdict as an "attempt to subvert the constitutional order" by one wing of the People's Alliance. He stated, "We will resist on the streets and squares, we will not surrender."
