Journalist Rojhat Doğru sentenced to life in prison
News camera operator Rojhat Doğru, put on trial for attending the 2014 Kobanî protests where he was covering news, has been given a life sentence and 12 years, 1 month in prison. An arrest warrant has also been issued against the journalist.

Detained twice on the same day, journalist Ferhat Çelik released
Mezopotamya Agency Managing Editor Ferhat Çelik was detained on the night of January 4. He gave his statement both at the prosecutor’s office and the judgeship. After he was released, he was detained again and gave another statement to the police.
