November 25 Women's Platform, bringing together women's organizations and initiatives wishing to organize a common action in Beyoğlu, Taksim in İstanbul on the occasion of November 25, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women responded to the ban of action announced by the Beyoğlu district governorship.
The platform said, "We are not asking for permission, we are asking for a life without violence."

The police force of İstanbul is mobilizing strongly, closing the Taksim square with barricades hours before the action.
Water cannons are piling around Taksim already and it was announced, as usual, that the metro coming to Taksim will skip the Taksim and Şişhane stations.
İstanbul Municipality has announced that, with the decision of İstanbul governorship, the M2 Yenikapı-Hacıosman metro line will operate skipping the Şişhane and Taksim stations and that the F1 Taksim-Kabataş will be closed today starting at 15:00.
Everything is done so that protesting women cannot reach Taksim, and they cannot meet and march together.
Despite all , November 25 Women's Platform tweeted "We will meet again, as each year at 19:00 in Tünel, Taksim on November 25."
