IPS Communication Foundation / bianet have come together with journalists left unemployed through the project “Unemployed Journalists Chasing News”.
The journalists who were left unemployed have participated both as project executors and as beneficiaries in the project whose jury consisted of Prof. Dr. Yasemin İnceoğlu, Tuğrul Eryılmaz, Nadire Mater, Banu Tuna, Murat Çelikkan and Doğu Eroğlu.
The first one of the exclusive file news reports, each prepared by two journalists together, will start going online as of April 18 on the website of bianet.
Covering topics such as journalism, unemployment, media, gender, education, migration, city, violence and peace, the exclusive file news will be published in three languages: Turkish, Kurdish and English.
The exclusive file news reports consist of photographs, audio and visual data as well as the elements of data journalism, a main article and sub-articles.
Realized with the financial support of the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands the Matra and Human Rights Program, the project will end with closing event on May 3, World Press Freedom Day.
