The articles produced in the "Unemployed Journalists Chasing News" project of IPS Communication Foundation / bianet realized by the journalists who have been left unemployed, is now online as an e-book in Kurdish and English. Turkish version of the e-book went online on July 19, 2017.
As a part of the project carried out to act in solidarity with the journalists left unemployed and draw attention to freedom of the press, 20 journalists prepared 10 news article series.The last one of the articles, that began to be published on April 18, 2017, went online on May 3, 2017. The series covers areas such as journalism, unemployment, media, gender, education, migration, city, poverty, violence and peace.
Project's supervisor was Murat Çelikkan and its coordinator was Öznur Subaşı. The jury members were Banu Tuna, Doğu Eroğlu, Haluk Kalafat, Nadire Mater, Tuğrul Eryılmaz, Yasemin İnceoğlu.
The project was realized with the financial support of the Consulate General of the Netherlands Matra-Human Rights Program, and ended with the event organized on May 3, the World Press Freedom Day.
