The prosecutors in charge of the investigation into the clandestine ultranationalist Ergenekon organisation have said that they will have prepared a third indictment by 20 July.
Extrajudicial killings to be included
According to media reports, there are accusations levelled against 70 individuals in the indictment. The Taraf newspaper further said that the indictment would include claims about extrajudicial killings in the east and southeast of Turkey.
Among the names expected to be in the document are İbrahim Şahin, Special Forces Deputy Chief, and Mustafa Özbek, president of the Türk Metal-Sen trade union.
20 July is also the date that the trial of the persons listed in the second indictment begins. Among them are retired generals Şener Eruygur and Hurşit Tolon, as well as 54 others. (EÜ/AG)
