According to Radikal news website citing Hakime Torun from Doğan News Agency (DHA), CHP Vice Chairperson Bülent Tezcan, HDP Party Spokesperson Ayhan Bilgen, and MHP Vice Chairperson have made the following evaluations:
Tezcan: Glad development
“We defend none of the immunities but only chair immunity. This proposal is hopefully on our line. This is a glad development.
“Mr. Prime Minister has given time until evening but there is no need for it. Our stance is clear and shared earlier. Still, we are not waiting until evening.
“But Mr. Vice PM may back down from his promise, that’s why we need to give our response right away. The immunities in no way can be subjected to blackmail”.
Bilgen: We declared our opinion earlier
“We haven’t find it right to deal with subject of immunity separately for parties or alleged charges in the first place.
“Turkey is face to face with risky agendas and these agendas shouldn’t be shifted.
“The President shouldn’t pressure on parliament where will of the whole society is represented.
“We declared our opinion on parliamentary immunity earlier”.
Vural: They wanted to life the immunities but we said no?
“They wanted to life the immunities but we said no?
“We favor lifting of immunities except for chair immunity”. (EKN/TK)
