During the operation in the capital Ankara, three ISIS suspects, two of whom were wanted with a Red Notice, were detained. One was arrested today (June 20).
According to the state-run Anadolu Agency (AA) the suspects, identified by the initials A.N. and C.V., were detained during an operation against ISIS early morning.
"The two were active members of the terrorist group in recent years" reported the AA.
The suspects were taken to the police station for their statements after health checks were performed in the hospital.
A third suspect, whose initials are A.A., was also arrested the same day in a separate operation in Ankara. It has been stated that the suspect was involved in recruiting people through online propaganda.
A.A. was arrested by the Penal Court of Peace after processing at the police station was completed.
