The 1st Cappadocia International Hot-Air Balloon Festival has opened in Nevşehir. The festival is hosting hot-air balloons from around the world.
Organized and hosted by the Municipality of Ürgüp, the festival has opened with a cortege from the Ürgüp Republic Square to the festival site.
The festival will end in the evening on July 7 and, till then, guests will have the opportunity to attend different events and activities everyday.
On the first day of the festival, the Ürgüp Municipality Folk Dances Team and Georgia Folk Dances Ensemble performed their dances.
Over 10 countries, including the U.S., Spain, Britain, Brazil, and Mexico, registered for the event.
The hot-air balloons used in tours and the ones brought from abroad for the festival performed a light show with music. Among the figure balloons are the ones that have come from U.S., Spain, Poland, Switzerland, Indonesia, England, Slovakia, France, the Netherlands, Brazil and Mexico.
