Ferhat Tunç Taken into Custody

Musician Ferhat Tunç has been taken into custody.

It has been reported that a warrant has been issued against Tunç as part of an investigation conducted in Turkey's southeastern province of Diyarbakır.

Ferhat Tunç posted the following tweet at 11.25 p.m. yesterday (January 13) and announced that he was being taken into custody:

Almanya’dan gelirken “aranıyorsun” dediler havaalanında gözaltı işlemi yapılıyor

"While I was returning from Germany, they said, 'You are sought' at the airport, a procedure of detention is being undertaken."

Taken to the Atatürk Airport Branch Office of İstanbul Security Directorate, Tunç was then referred to the Bakırköy Courthouse.
