Two explosions have rocked Zaventem Airport in Belgium’s capital city Brussels.
Following the explosions at around 8 a.m. in the morning hours today (March 22) the airport has been evacuated and the flights have been cancelled.
Belçika Sağlık Bakanlığı, havaalanındaki saldırıda 11 kişinin öldüğünü ve 81 kişinin yaralandığını açıkladı. Belgium Ministry of Health has announced that 11 persons have lost their lives and 81 others injured in the attack at the airport.
Belgium Prime Minister Charles Michel expressing that the country had been going through dark days, has called the attakcs "blind, violent and cowardly".
Belga News Agency has reported that gun shootings and shoutings in Arabic had been heard right before the explosion.
London-based Sky News has reported that the explosion has occurred on the American Airlines check-in desk at the airport.
