Antep Governor Ali Yerlikaya has announced that Derik sub-Governor Muhammet Fatih Safitürk (35) who was injured in the attack carried out by members of Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in Mardin yesterday (November 10) lost his life in the hospital.
Yesterday at 12.10 p.m. PKK had attacked the sub-Governorship building in Mardin, Safitürk and two others were injured.
Mardin Governorship announced that the attack was carried out with an improvised explosive device and Fırat News Agency (ANF) reported that Safitürk was targeted in the attack.
Sub-Governor Muhammet Fatih Safitürk was appointed to Democratic Regions Party (DBP) Derik sub-Governorship as a trustee in September. (ÇT/DG)
