Demirtaş to Meet Lavrov

A meeting is being planned to be held between HDP Co-Chair Demirtaş and Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Lavrov in his visit to Moscow on Wednesday.

A gathering between Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sergey Lavrov and Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Co-Chair, Selahattin Demirtaş who will head to Moscow on Wednesday.

According to Sputnik News citing an anonymous source with Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs speaking to RİA Novosti said, “Lavrov may meet Demirtaş. Such a meeting is being planned”.

Demirtaş had earlier said he would visit Moscow on December 23 and hold a meeting with Lavrov.

Demirtaş in his statement yesterday (December 20) expressing that he would go to Russian capital city of Moscow and open party’s representation office said, “We are effective, want to use our power. We will meet with [Russian] Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lavrov”. (EKN/TK)
