Thomas Hammarberg, Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights has been visiting cities in Turkey to obtain information on human rights. He has been meeting with people in Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara.
His six-day visit ends tomorrow (4 July). Hammarberg said, "The aim of the visit was to obtain information from authorities in Turkey about refugees, minorities and other human rights issues, and to develop the dialogue between us."
His findings are expected to be published in a report this year. (EÜ/AG)
