Peace and Democracy Party co-chair Selahattin Demirtaş and deputies Sırrı Süreyya Önder and Pervin Buldan set off to Imrali island this morning to meet PKK leader Abdullah Öcalan.
Experts estimate that the meeting discussions swirled around whether or not will withdraw from Turkey's border with their arms, as well as Öcalan's first reaction to the announcement of Turkey's "wise people" list.
The meeting coincided with Abdullah Öcalan's birthday, a visit date that has been anticipated by several experts.
In statement, Peace and Democracy Party said that no press conference would be held following the visit. (EKN)
