When we look again to this year’s report, 289 workers died due to traffic and shuttle service accident so far in 2014.
The distribution of traffic/shuttle service accidents in the workplace murders was distributed as follows: 28 workers in September, 48 workers in August, 33 workers in July, 30 workers in June, 29 workers in May. Amid the tolls, seasonal worker deaths take a big part which can be explained through overcrowded transport options for seasonal workers who commute during the months of May and October. It can also be noted that workers died in traffic accidents during their shuttle ride to work. (NV/BM)
