14 people including Freedom and Solidarity Party (ÖDP) Central Executive Board and United June Movement Executive Board member Onur Kılıç and Community Centres İzmir Branch Executive Board member Onur Kılıç have been taken into custody over their social media posts.
In the house raids launched in this morning (June 30), cell phones and computers were seized.
“PKK, TKPML, DHKP-C, THKP-C, BÖG…”
According to a statement issued by the ÖDP, Kılıç was charged with “Propagandizing for PKK, TKPML, DHKP-C, THKP-C, BÖG by means of social media posts” and “Insulting the president”.
In its statement, the ÖDP said “Our Central Executive Board member Onur Kılıç was arrested again for insulting president two weeks ago. This arrest is just like the previous one a part of the systematical attack the AKP carries on to oppress the opposition”.
Release of all the detainees was demanded in the statement and a call was made for the “Justice March”. (AS/TK)
