No Release in Özgür Gündem Main Case, International Travel Ban of Erdoğan, Alpay Lifted
No release order has been issued in the case in which Aslı Erdoğan, Necmiye Alpay, Ragıp Duran, Filiz Koçali, İnan Kızılkaya, Eren Keskin, Bilge Oykut, Zana Kaya and Kemal Sancılı are tried. The court has lifted international travel ban imposed on Aslı Erdoğan and Necmiye Alpay.

Journalist and columnist Hasan Cemal, who joined closed Özgür Gündem newspaper’s Editors-in-Chief on Watch campaign, appeared before judge today (March 7) following Mater and Türker. Cemal was fined 6,000 TL (1,500 Euros) on charge of “publishing statement of an [illegal] organization”.
