Constitutional Court ruling on ‘Kuşkonar massacre’ 26 years later
Constitutional Court has handed down its ruling regarding the bombing of Kuşkonar and Koçağılı villages in Şırnak 26 years ago. The Court has unanimously concluded that the right to life of 38 deceased people, the wounded and their relatives was violated.

34 People Who Lost Their Lives in Roboski Massacre Commemorated
It has been seven years since 34 civilians, 19 of whom were children, lost their lives in Roboski in the bombardment of war planes of Turkish Armed Forces. A commemorative ceremony has been held in Roboski for the deceased.

2 Soldiers Killed in Şırnak’s Uludere
The improvised explosive device planted on the road by PKK members has been detonated during the passage of a military vehicle in Şırnak’s Uludere district, two soldiers lost their lives. Three soldiers have been wounded in the attack launched on military vehicle in Hakkari’s Şemdinli district.

Commission Viewed Heron Images: "Obviously Smugglers"
BDP and CHP deputies who watched the heron footage of the Uludere area commented, "The images were very clear, the people were killed while they were clearly visible". Head of the commission Üstün argued that the images alone are not enough to see the whole picture.

Commander Deposed from Office - Five Locals Arrested
Gendarmerie Colonel Güney, Deputy Commander of the Gülyazı Border Regiment, was deposed from office related to the Uludere massacre in south-eastern Turkey. Five people were arrested because of an alleged attack against the district governor.

The Peoples' Democratic Congress started a three-month series of weekly protests against the widely criticized Uludere operation. Protestors gathered in Istanbul and Ankara on Saturday. Also the Peace Initiatives in Istanbul called for peace and a clarification of the incident.

Uludere Attack: Survivors Froze to Death
Eight NGOs, including the Human Rights Association and the Turkish Medical Chamber, released a report about the Uludere operation that left 35 civilians dead. The report revealed that some victims froze or bled to death since official institutions failed to react on time.

Halkın Günlüğü newspaper reporter Sevgül was arrested in Diyarbakır in the context of a protest against the Uludere bombing. Former Özgür Gündem newspaper editor Kişin was arrested in the scope of the KCK investigation.

35 Civilians Dead - Protestors Released
32 people who were taken into custody in Istanbul because they protested the death of 35 civilians were now released. The villagers were killed in an aerial strike in south-eastern Turkey.
