The European Court of Human Rights has passed judgement on three cases of extrajudicial killing in two different police-military operations. Turkey has been sentenced to pay compensation for having violated “the right to life”.

The police conducted an operation in Anadolu Courthouse in Kartal province of İstanbul today in the morning hours. Police operations were carried out in Bakırköy, Gaziosmanpaşa and İstanbul Çağlayan Courthouses yesterday in İstanbul.

Curfew lasting for 79 days in Cizre will be lifted between 5 a.m. and 7.30 p.m. as of tomorrow (March 2). The half-day-long curfew in Silopi has been shortened by 1,5 hours.

According to the statement made by crisis desk in Cizre to bianet, 39 bodies have been taken out of Cizre.

Three police officers have been killed by bomb detonated by PKK members, two others killed in the attack launched in city center of Şırnak, and another one killed in PKK attack in Diyarbakır.

KCK has expressed that “All democratic forces, socialists, progressive humanity, human rights organizations, international forces sensitive to democracy and human rights of the world maintain a stance against the state and AKP government”.

The police and people clashed in Yüksekova, Hakkari in a protest against the operations. A person died while another was injured.

According to Prime Ministry Coordination Center, 1302 people have been detained in 39 cities during police operations for five days. Detainees in Ankara have been released.
