VAT on basic food products reduced to 1 percent by a Presidential decision
Amid increasing prices and people’s decreasing purchasing power, the Value Added Tax on basic food products has been reduced from 8 to 1 percent. Economists warn that this reduction may not affect the price tags with other costs cited as the reason.

İstanbul Repeat Election Results on Official Gazette: İmamoğlu Wins 54 Percent of Votes
The results of repeat İstanbul Metropolitan Mayoral Elections have been published on the Official Gazette. Accordingly, while İstanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu received 4 million 742 thousand 82 votes, AKP’s Yıldırım received 3 million 936 thousand 68 votes.
