Answering journalists' questions on a TV broadcast, Presidential Spokesperson Kalın also has touched upon the visit of Crown Prince bin Salman of Saudi Arabia to Ankara and has said that Turkey "reacted sharply and did its part" regarding the Khashoggi murder.

Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu slammed the Saudi narrative of the murder of Jamal Khashoggi that the journalist was killed due to brawling and overdose drugging. Çavuşoğlu insisted that the suspects should be tried in Turkey.

"A case involving the world public opinion can not be veiled. We are expecting the close cooperation of the Saudi officials for the thorough clarification of the case." Minister Gül reacted on the inconclusive talks with the Saudi Prosecutor on the Khashoggi murder case.
