Jamal Khashoggi was murdered because of his differences of opinion with the Saudi administration, and the case concerning the murder was dropped for political reasons, Cengiz has said.

"The political legitimacy he earns through the visits he makes to a different country every day doesn't change the fact that he is a murderer," says Hatice Cengiz.

An administrative court has found Hatice Cengiz's appeal inadmissible. There is another appeal that has not yet been decided on.

"It is clear that a fair trial will not be held by the Saudi authorities, and this is mentioned even in the indictment in Turkey," the lawyer of Hatice Cengiz has stated.
