The attorney has applied to the Constitutional Court, requesting the cancellation of an order for an internal body examination on her imprisoned client.

The European Court of Human Rights convicted Turkey of “inadequate investigation” and “ill-treatment and torture” in the case of Gülizar Tuncer, a human rights advocate.

The ECHR handed down monetary fines worth € 27,600 in total to Turkey. The latest sanctions stem from the refusal of national courts to return books to publisher Öztürk and from injuring lawyer Tuncer in a clash with the police at a demonstration.
