Işık University management has fired Prof. Dr. Yıldıran since she didn’t withdraw her signature from the declaration entitled “We Will not be a Party to This Crime” by Academics for Peace.

4,811 academics from 112 universities have been discharged by five Statutory Decrees. 16 of the academics have been returned to their duty by another Statutory Decree.

The largest number of discharges has occurred with 78 academic discharges at Ankara University. Only four academics have been left at the Faculty of Language, History and Geography.
