Turkey’s current account balance registered a 7.1 billion USD deficit in January, widening by 5.3 billion USD year-on-year, according to the Central Bank.

The IMF in its “Regional Economic Outlook” report has underlined the high inflation and current deficit rates in Turkey. The report foresees that the economic growth slowing down will fall to 3.5%.
