In Van, an improvised bomb planted on the road by members of YPS has exploded in the hands of a police officer trying to dispose it. Two police officers have lost their lives, three others injured in the explosion.

The Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) denied it had any involvement in Monday’s deadly blast in the southeastern province of Gaziantep that killed nine people and injured 69. The Peace and Democracy Party (BDP) and human rights organizations also condemned the incident.

A suspicious package left in front of the Doğan Media Centre in Istanbul turned out to be a bomb. The police disarmed the bomb. Footage of monitoring cameras installed in public places is being investigated.
