Etkiniz EU Program: Election Journalism Monitoring Guide

IPS Communication Foundation / bianet received European Union financial support for the "Election Journalism Monitoring Guide" project in May 2023 under the Etkiniz EU program. Within the scope of this project,

• Big data was collected on the main news bulletins broadcast on the YouTube channels of news channels and user comments on these broadcasts, and these data were evaluated and reported in terms of the public's right to information, the right to fair media representation, and hate speech. This report was prepared by Bilgi University Lecturer Güventürk Görgülü.

• A "Rights-Based Local Election Reporting Guide" based on the big data report has been published. The guide was prepared by Prof. Nazan Haydari Pakkan, a faculty member at Istanbul Bilgi University Faculty of Communication, Department of Media.
