Youth Unemployment Climbs to 24%
Exceeding 12% in November 2016 period, the unemployment rate has continued to increase in December 2016 period as well: 3 million 872 people are unemployed while the youth unemployment has reached 24%.

The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) has declared the unemployment rate in December 2016 period as 12.7%.
The number of unemployed above 15 has increased by 668,000 people compared to the same period of last year, reaching 3 million 782 people.
The unemployment rate marked 12.7% with an increase of 1.9%.
The unemployment rate was 12.1% in November 2016 and 11.8% in October 2016.
Youth employment is on the rise
The unemployment has seen an increase by 4.8% in youth population (age between 15-24) and reached 24%.
This rate marked 12.9% with an increase of 1.9% in 15-64 age group.
Non-agricultural unemployment has been estimated 14.9% with an increase of 2.2%. (CK/EKN/TK)
