Evren reacted against the fact that the U.S. troops were in Turkey: "The U.S. troops are doing as they please in our country as if the parliament never rejected allowing them into Turkey. They are continuing with their activities at the ports and airports. The convoys are on the roads. This is an invasion. And those who allow and support this are aiding the invasion."
Evren said those who support this war are using new taxes and price increases as a tool to influence the people.
