Two workers have lost their lives after an explosion in the boiler room of a denim washing factory in Başakşehir, İstanbul.
The workshop has partly collapsed and a fire broke out because of the explosion, AA reported.
While firefighters put out the fire, search and rescue teams of the Disaster and Emergency Management Presidency (AFAD) continue working in the building, the Governor's Office has stated.
The cause of the explosion at 11.10 a.m. has not been revealed yet, according to the statement.
According to the April report of the Health and Safety Labor Watch, at least 220 workers lost their lives in "occupational homicides." (RT/VK)
