Two Soldiers Lose Their Lives in Mardin and Hakkari

One soldier has lost his life in an operation conducted against the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) in the district of Derik in Turkey's southeastern province of Mardin. One more soldier has lost his life in a conflict that erupted in Şemdinli in Turkey's southeastern province of Hakkari.

In a statement released by the Ministry of National Defense, it was indicated that the seriously wounded soldier was immediately referred to hospital; however, he has lost his life despite the medical intervention.

"May Allah rest the soul of our mighty martyr who has lost his life in the incident that moved us to a deep sorrow and pain; our condolences to the Turkish Armed Forces and our noble nation, may Allah give them patience", the Ministry has indicated in its statement. (EMK/SD)
